Jerry,
Maybe you can forward this to all--I just have to say that I'm still
glowing from the weekend. Everything was just magical. It was
an amazing feeling to be transported back in time. The old brain cells
were really digging up some ancient memories! How long had
it been since you've heard "FLASH! CYO CAMP FIELD UNDERGROUND NEWS!?" or
"You've been primping?" It was fun to recall the old songs. As John Agnew
said, "You can't think-- you've just got to get going downhill." The
slides were incredible (although I could have done with a few less "bad
moons risin'"--just kiddin Schwin!). I'll not soon forget "Cocktails for
Two", "The Red Rose and the Briar", and most of all Peter Crowley
attempting to get through "Shaving Cream". I haven't laughed that hard in
a very long time!
Seeing Monte Koreis was such a trip that, when I passed him on Highway 2
going home, I was tempted to make him pull over and have coffee and share
just a few more memories! I know that Schwin, Mike Conatore and Carol
Waltho extended the weekend with a tour of camp and dinner at Gustav's. It
was hard to see it end.
Playing the old songs with Bob Smet was a special treat for me, and our
rememberance of departed friends really choked me up. We really did have
our season at Camp, and it was a gift from God. Thank you to everyone who
played a part in making it happen. Being at Tall Timbers instead of Camp
took nothing away from the experience, proving that Camp really resides in
the heart.
Maybe, as suggested, we could e-mail Jerry memories for the record as we
recall them. He has offered to cut, paste and forward them to all (thanks,
Jerry!). It may inspire even those who were not at the reunion (boo-hoo)
to chime in.
Well, I'm off to develop the pictures in my very expensive paper
camera. If I could applaud you all I would, but since "we do things a
little differently at Camp Field", I'll just say
Wee-mi-mi-o-a!

Jerry, please share to all when you can my many thanks.
Thanks again to all the wonderful folks for all the hard work you put into
the makings of another wonderful time with the reunion of
lovingly-spirited-souls.
"We are more like ourselves than ever," as Karen Brookman said. Sharing our
lives from then to now was only a day in time difference of still caring for
all of you in a sense I have never experienced since those times of long
ago.
Until we all meet again, the memories of the two day hikes (which brought
back the urge to keep going into the mountains and embracing the trekking
days again) will aide me when I am at work and wanting to take my mind of
the daily task at hand.
It'd be fun to ask "How much further at work?, wouldn't it? Even a fried
spam sandwich would inspire those around us in our daily life
network...well, maybe not.
I also wish to thank you for the 'warmth' my children feel from all of
you. I have always felt this is the greatest gift you have given to me,
then and now.
"You guys are goofy and shake a good booty when singing", says my 5 year
old, Joseph! "I need the words to Shaving Cream", says John. Of course
this is the nine year olds' favorite song of the campfire. See, the
impression you make on the younger ones still lives on.
Anyone want to help with that one email me and I'll send my address and SAE
for you to send. It'd be a great b-day gift.
God's peace and I'm looking forward to seeing memories in living color from
paper cameras and such.
Mary Lloyd ('Clerfy' to Pete, and Pat and Smet)
